Collinsville is located approximately 16 miles east of St. Louis and is home to about 26,000 residents. It is home to the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site as well as the Fairmont Park Thoroughbred horse racing track.
Collinsville High School has a proud sports tradition, and holds several state championships in basketball, baseball and soccer. The Collinsville High School Dance Team has also won numerous state championships.
Uptown Collinsville hosts several annual weekend festivals, and is best known for its Italian Fest and the International Horseradish Festival. The World's Largest Catsup Bottle, which is a 170-ft tall water tower, is a well-known local landmark.
